DataUp is a free data bonus that increases 10% each time your Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan renews on time. It lets you boost your ‘data up’. Your DataUp bonus is calculated as a percentage of your current plan data allowance.

If your Prepay Rollover plan or MyFlex has a 2GB data allowance, your DataUp bonus will be calculated as a percentage of your 2GB, so your first 10% DataUp bonus will be 200MB. After your 10th consecutive on-time renewal of your Prepay Plus Rollover or MyFlex plan, you will be able to redeem 100% DataUp bonus every time you renew your Prepay Plus Rollover or MyFlex plan each month (with on-time plan renewal).

DataUp is exclusively available to One NZ Prepay Plus Rollover and One NZ MyFlex customers who have an active plan. Please note that as of 24 September 2025, you will no longer be able to purchase new One NZ MyFlex plans or flex existing MyFlex plans but you can continue on your existing MyFlex plan.

You become eligible for your DataUp bonus by renewing your Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan within 48 hours of the plan expiring. Each time you renew your Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan on time, your DataUp bonus will increase by 10% to a maximum of 100%. Your DataUp bonus is calculated as a percentage of your current Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan data allowance.

When you renew your plan, your new DataUp bonus will be available to redeem in My One NZ within 24 hours of renewal. If you are a Prepay Plus Rollover customer, you will also be able to redeem via the My One NZ website or app. Just tap the DataUp button. For MyFlex redemption just head to the My One NZ app.

• New Prepay Plus Rollover Customer: You will be eligible to redeem your first 10% DataUp bonus after the first renewal of your Prepay Plus Rollover plan, provided you renew within 48 hours of the plan expiring. The DataUp bonus will be available within 24 hours of renewing your new Prepay Plus Rollover plan.
• Existing MyFlex Customers: If you are an existing MyFlex customer you will be able redeem your DataUp bonus after the first renewal of your MyFlex plan, provided you renew within 24 hours of the plan expiring. From September 24, 2025 you will no longer be able to purchase new MyFlex plans, however you will still be able to use your existing MyFlex plan. You will also be eligible for your DataUp bonus when you renew your plan on time (within 24 hours).
  • If you change plans from an active MyFlex plan to a Prepay Plus Rollover plan, you will be eligible to keep your existing DataUp bonus linked to your MyFlex plan. This percentage will carry over and will be the % bonus that is possible to redeem from My One NZ (within 24 hours of renewing and changing to your new Prepay Plus Rollover plan). Any data entitlements from your Carry over plan
• If your Prepay Plus Rollover or MyFlex plan is paused: You will start accruing your DataUp bonus, after the next renewal of your plan. You will be eligible to redeem your first 10% DataUp bonus after you next renew your plan within a month.

To redeem your DataUp bonus, go to My One NZ app. If you are a Prepay Plus Rollover customer, you will also be able to redeem via the My One NZ website. Just tap the DataUp button.

Your DataUp bonus is calculated based on the data allowance of your current Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan. If your Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan has a 2GB data allowance, your DataUp bonus will be calculated as a percentage of your 2GB, so your first 10% DataUp bonus would be 200MB.

No. When you renew your Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan, any unused data from your DataUp bonus data will not carry over to your next plan.

Your DataUp bonus lasts up to the duration of your plan. For example: up to one month from redemption for Prepay Plus Rollover plans (or until you renew your next Prepay Plus Rollover plan–whichever comes first) or up to 4 weeks for MyFlex plans (or until your renew your next MyFlex plan-whichever comes first). So, the earlier you redeem your DataUp bonus, the longer you’ll have to use it. DataUp bonuses are available to redeem in My One NZ within 24 hours of renewal.

• Prepay Plus Rollover customers:

If you change your Prepay Plus Rollover plan to another Prepay Plus Rollover plan, when you next renew your plan on time your DataUp bonus will be calculated off your new plan’s data allowance.

For example, if your DataUp bonus will increase to 40% on your next plan renewal and you’ve changed your data allowance to 3GB – when you next renew your plan on time, your DataUp bonus will be 1.2GB (40% of 3GB).

If you change to a Prepay Plus Starter, Endless or Unlimited prepay plan, you will lose your DataUp bonus as these plans are not eligible.

• MyFlex customers:

From 24 September 2025 you will no longer be able to change your MyFlex plan to another MyFlex plan. You will however be able to change to a Prepay Plus Rollover plan.

If you change plan from an active MyFlex plan to a Prepay Plus Rollover plan, you will be eligible to keep your existing DataUp bonus linked to your MyFlex plan. This percentage will carry over and will be the % bonus that is possible to redeem from My One NZ (within 24 hours of renewing your new plan).

If you don’t renew your plan within 48 hours of it being paused, your DataUp bonus will reset. You will start accruing your new DataUp bonus from when you renew your next plan on time.

If you don't renew your Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan within 48 hours of the plan expiring, your DataUp bonus will reset. You will start accruing your new DataUp bonus from when you renew your next plan on time.

If you have renewed your Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan on time and you can't find your DataUp bonus in your My One NZ app, make sure you've updated to the latest version of the App. DataUp is only available in version 5.11.4 (or higher) of the My One NZ app. You can find out which version of the app you are using by scrolling to the bottom of the dashboard in your My One NZ app (We're currently on version 7.5.1 for September 2025).

Your DataUp bonus is used after your Prepay Plus Rollover plan or MyFlex plan and rollover data are exhausted. If you have any active Add-Ons, Passes or Daily Deals on your account, these will be used before your DataUp bonus.
