Prepay Pay & Go price change

From 28 March 2023, the price you pay for calling and using data on our Prepay Pay & Go plan is changing. You’ll pay 49c per min (was 40c) and 50c per MB (was 30c). Sending a TXT remains the same at 20c per TXT. ​

Why is my price changing? 

We remain absolutely focused on keeping you connected, giving you great value and continuously improving the service you receive, which sometimes means our plans and prices can change. From 28 March 2023, the price you pay for calling and using data on our Prepay Pay and Go plan is changing.

How much is the price change?

Pay and Go minutes to NZ landlines are increasing from 40c to 49c per min and data is increasing from 30c to 50c per MB. The cost of sending a TXT stays the same at 20c per TXT.

Can I avoid the price increase by changing plans? 

Yes, you could look to switch to a flexible MyFlex Prepay plan that lets you flex your mins, data or TXTs up or down at any time. With MyFlex, you can design your own plan or select from one of our Popular Combos. Find out more about our flexible Prepay plans.

Are the prices of Daily Deals and Add-Ons increasing? 

No, prices of currently available Daily Deals and Add-Ons are not increasing.

What is the bonus you’re applying? 

We are applying a bonus of either 2GB or 200 mins to your Prepay Pay & Go account on the 17 March, before the price change happens. The bonus you receive is based on your usage and you’ll receive a TXT message between the 14 - 16 March reminding you about the bonus, so you don’t forget.
  • If you chat more, you’ll get 200 NZ/OZ mins that lasts for 90 days
  • If you use data more, you’ll get 2GB data that lasts for 90 days

If you move to another prepay plan, to pay monthly or another provider, your bonus will not be applied.

How have you worked out my usage for applying the bonus data? 

We’ve looked at how you’ve been using your phone over the last 6 months. If you’ve chatted more, you’ll get bonus minutes, if you’ve used the internet more, you’ll get bonus data.

Will the bonus be on top of any Daily Deals, or Add-Ons I have? 

Yes, the bonus will be over and above any Daily Deals or Add-Ons you have.

What if I want to move to another network? 

You’ll need to contact the other network provider, and they will organise for your prepay number to move across. You will lose any credit when your move completes.
