From 24 September 2025 you will no longer be able to activate a new MyFlex Prepay connection. Prepay Plus plans are now available and are our new way to Prepay. If you are an existing MyFlex customer your plan will still work, however you will no longer be able to flex your plan.

How do I top up?
You can top up online or you can use the My One NZ App on your phone.

Will my credit expire?
On a MyFlex plan you must top up once every 360 days to ensure the connection stays active. If a top up is not made within this period, all remaining credit will be lost and you will lose your number.

What's the minimum top up amount?
The minimum top up amount is $10 through My One NZ desktop or app, when on a MyFlex plan.

Your MyFlex Prepay plan lasts for 28 days.

Yes, 5G works with Prepay. To get the benefits of 5G, you’ll need a 5G capable phone from One NZ, or from selected retailers. You’ll need to be in a 5G coverage area (5G is live in parts of select towns and cities right across New Zealand), and be on an eligible Prepay plan. Our current 4G plans are all eligible for 5G.

If you have an eligible prepay plan and a 5G phone from One NZ or selected retailers, you can use 5G at no extra cost.

Choose from a range of great value Add-Ons for Prepay to keep you connected. Access any of these Add-Ons by pressing ‘Buy More’ in the My One NZ app.

If you run out of Data, Mins or TXTs before your renewal date, you'll be charged at a casual rate for any data you use or calls and TXTs you make.

On MyFlex you can carry over up to 500 unused mins and 3.5GB unused data, TXTs will not carry over. All you need to ensure is you have enough credit for your plan to auto-renew.

If you have unlimited minutes you will automatically carry over 500 minutes if you switch to a plan with a lower number of minutes the following month.

If you hit ‘Change plan’ or ‘Save changes’, your new plan will update on your next renewal date. You get to keep your carryover data.

If you hit ‘Renew plan’ or ‘Buy now’, you’ll switch right away but you’ll lose your carryover data.

Next time you Top Up, you'll repay the $5 plus a $0.50 fee.

Simply TXT IOU to 468 and we'll apply a $5 credit straight away! IOU is so helpful when you need it.

Important things to know about IOU:

• You must have less than $14 credit to use IOU.
• You can only have one outstanding IOU at a time - you need to repay your outstanding IOU before you can request another one.
• IOU is not available while roaming.
• You can't move to another Prepay plan or Pay Monthly plan while you have an unpaid IOU.
