Get ready for a new plan

Many of our older mobile and broadband plans are due to close as we simplify and improve our systems. This means you’ll be moving to one of our latest Endless Mobile Plans with stacks of data and more.

What does it mean for you?

Since you’re moving to a new plan, your plan price may also change and any discounts on your old plan will end. But all of our new plans are Open Term, so you can make changes at any time. Here’s our current line up.

$65 Endless Medium 15GB Max speed data + Endless data at reduced speeds
$85 One Plan  Unlimited 5G Max speed data

What else do you need to know?

These changes are happening between early November 2024 and mid 2025. But we’ll let you know in advance when your plan is due to change.

There are also some changes to BestMates, International 45 and 90, Asia TALK&TXT, International Favourites TALKnTXT, International TXT and older Add-ons like BlackBerry and FaxMail.

What are your options?

Since we’re making changes, you’re welcome to change things too. Check out our Endless Plans to see if there’s a better option for you. Or if you really need to cut back, explore our flexible and affordable Prepay Plans.

FAQs

Can I choose a different mobile plan?

Yes you can. You can move to any of our latest Endless Plans at any time. Just choose the plan that works best for you.

Can I keep my current mobile plan?

Sorry, no. Your current mobile plan is being retired, so to keep you connected we need to move you to one of our latest mobile plans Or call us on 0800 394 449 to choose a different plan that works for you.

Can I change my plan now?

Yes. Simply call 0800 394 449 and we can move you to the new mobile plan we’ve suggested or find another one that works for you.

Do I need to do anything right now?

No, there’s nothing you need to do. We’ll let you know when your plan is due to change and move you automatically from your first bill after that.

Can I cancel my plan?

Yes you can. We’d be sorry to see you go, but just call us on 0800 394 449 and we’ll chat through what you need to know.

What about calls to Australia?

All our Endless plans include unlimited calls and TXTs to standard New Zealand and Australian numbers. So talk all you like across the ditch.

What about International Add-ons?

Several of our International Add-ons are ending. Our newer International Calling Add-on is included in our $65 Endless Medium and $85 One Plan. It’s also available for $10 a month on the $45 Endless Small Plan.

Which International Add-ons are ending?

The following International Add-ons are all being retired. So if you’re currently paying for them, you won’t need to in the future.

  • International 90
  • International 45
  • Asia Talk & TXT
  • International Favourites Talk
  • International TXT

This means calls on your new plan will be at standard rates and TXT will be 0.20c per 160 characters. Standard rates are 0.69c per min to call the UK, Ireland, USA and Canada and 1.39c per minute to mobiles and landlines for any other country. Satellite calls/min: $15.64 Inmarsat A, $11.50 Inmarsat B, $4.03 Global Star.

What International Calling Add-ons are available?

Our latest International Add-on includes 250 minutes and 50 TXTs to over 20 International destinations . You can add it for just $10 a month on our Endless Small Plan – and it’s already included on our Endless Medium and One Plan.

What’s happening with BestMates®?

All of our new Endless Plans include unlimited calls and TXTs to any standard New Zealand or Australian numbers. So BestMates® is no longer needed and will be retired. If you’re currently paying for this, you won’t need to.

What’s happening with FaxMail?

FaxMail is an older service that’s no longer relevant to most people. So this is being retired too.

What’s happening with BlackBerry?

BlackBerry is an older add-on that’s no longer relevant for most people. So this is being retired too.

Will the price of my mobile plan change?

Most likely, yes. We’re closing the mobile plan you’re currently on and moving you to a new mobile plan at a new price. We’re also removing any discounts that you may have been receiving so this could have an impact on your monthly payments. You’re welcome to choose a different plan.

Will my bill be different?

Your first bill after the change will be a little different. It will include a part-charge for your new plan, plus your usual month in advance. You may also see a credit for part of your old plan to line things up with your normal billing date. Read more about part month charges here.

Will I still get my regular discounts?

Sorry, no. Any current discounts will end when you move to your new mobile plan.

Do I need to change my automatic payment or direct debit?

If you have an automatic payment set up for a fixed amount each month, you’ll need to update this to the new mobile and/or broadband plan price before for your next bill date after your plan changes. You don’t need to make any changes to your direct debit payment – this will continue as normal.

Will my Interest Free Payments change?

No. Any interest free payments you have will continue as normal. If you choose to cancel your plan, you’ll need to pay these off first.
