There are three reasons you will find a part-month charge on your bill:
If you are a new customer getting your first bill
If you joined us part-way through the month, you may see a part-month charge for the date you joined us until the end of the billing period (plus the usual full month in advance).
For example:
- You joined us on 27 September.
- The billing period ends on 17 October.
- Your full month in advance starts on 18 October – 17 November.
If you are a customer who has changed plan
If you've been with us for a while and have changed plans, you may see a part-month charge for your new plan for the period covering the date you switched until the end of the billing period (plus the usual full month in advance).
You may also see a part-month credit relating to your old plan because you had paid the full month in advance on your last bill but only used it for part of the month.
For example:
- You upgraded from Small Mobile plan to Medium Mobile plan on 27 September.
- We credited $30 because you were only on this Small Mobile plan from 27 September - 17 October, but had paid the full month in advance on your last bill.
- You started Medium Mobile plan on 27 September so you were charged from then until 17 October.
- Your full month in advance for your new Medium Mobile plan is 18 October - 17 November.
If you have given us a notice of disconnection
If you have requested for your service to be disconnected:
- You must give us 30 days' notice when terminating a service, as set out in our terms and conditions.
- If you port from a Pay Monthly connection to another service provider, we will send you a final bill with any charges up to the time the port was completed, including the standard 30 day notice period.
- If you cancel a service in the middle of your current billing period, you'll see a part-month charge on your next month's invoice to cover the remaining 30 days.
For example:
- A disconnection request was received on 8 June. This means your service will end on 7 July.
- Your billing period is on the 28th of every month. Your first 20 days (of your notice period) have been covered in your current invoice (from 8 June - 27 June).
In alignment with the 30 days' notice period, you will see the remaining part-month charge on your next invoice (i.e. the remaining 10 days of your notice period) from 28 June - 7 July 2024.
