Key information

  1. Your policy has a limit of $2,100 for your mobile. This means that maximum we will pay for a Lost, Stolen or Damaged Insured Mobile is $2,100 for any one claim.
  2. You will need to contribute an excess for each valid claim.
    1. For phones with a replacement value of $1,800 or less:
      1. there is an excess of $200 for the first claim within a 12-month period; and
      2. there is an excess of $250 for the second claim within a 12-month period
    2. For phones with a replacement value up to $2,100:
      1. there is an excess of $350 for the first claim within a 12-month period; and
      2. an excess of $400 applies for a second claim wthin a 12-month period.
  3. Following damage to your Mobile, the insurer will (at its option):
    1. attempt to repair your Mobile with new or refurbished parts if it is economically viable for the insurer to do so; or
    2. replace your Mobile with a Refurbished Mobile or new Mobile of similar specification.

How do I get PhoneInsure?

From 30th June 2023, PhoneInsure is no longer available to new customers.

How do I cancel my PhoneInsure policy?

You can cancel your policy at any time by giving us a call on 0800 800 021.

You can make a claim online at any time or call 0800 505 021 Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:30PM (NZDT). We recommend that you lodge your claim within the first 48 hours.

Block it:

Call One NZ Customer Services on 0800 800 021, within 48 hours, to block your Mobile and bar your SIM card.

Report it:

You must report it to the police within 48 hours. Obtain a police report reference number to use with your claim.

Claim it:

Lodge your claim online at One NZ or call the PhoneInsure team on 0800 505 021, within 48 hours, to initiate your claim.

Maliciously damaged

Report it:

How to make a claim when you're overseas

If your phone is lost or stolen while you're overseas, call us immediately on +64 9 366 9239 to bar your account and make your claim. You can also make a claim online at any time.
