Which version of Webex should I download onto my PC, 32-bit or 64-bit?

    • Press "Windows+X" on your keyboard (or right-click on the start menu)

Once Webex has been installed and I am logged in, should I keep the One Business app?

No, the One Business app can be uninstalled from your device, once you are up and running on Webex. The only time you may wish to hold onto it a little longer is if you have local contacts that need copying over.

Do I have to install Webex? What happens if I don't?

It is highly recommended that you do install Webex. The service your business uses is moving to this and it is important that you install this app. Not doing so will have operational and functional impact to features that your business uses.

I have created contacts within my One Business app. What will happen to these?

Any contacts created directly into the One Business app are unable to be moved to One Business with Webex directly. Any contacts you need to keep can be easily copied to either:

  1. Your email client (Outlook or Google) – This is the best method as it ensures contacts are always available. Webex will automatically search for your contact, through the in-app search function
  2. Contacts can be created directly into Webex

Once One Business with Webex has been installed and logged in, you will still be able to go back and log into the old One Business app as an archive until it is decommissioned in December 2023.

I have chats in my One Business app. What will happen to these?

Unfortunately any chats you have in One Business cannot move over to Webex and will be lost once you uninstall the One Business app.

On a positive note, the messaging/chat environment in Webex is significantly better, with greater functionality.

What will happen to voicemails I have saved in One Business?

Absolutely nothing. These will be moved over to Webex and you will be able to access them on the app under the voicemail tab or dialing into your voicemail.

I have call recording on my profile. What will happen to this?

Call recording is not impacted by the move to Webex and everything will carry on as normal. All call recordings are still accessed from xPortal.

Will my call history be lost in the move to Webex?

Your call history is not lost in the move.

I have Webex installed on my Android smartphone. Why can’t I transfer calls through the Webex app?

Webex relies on the app being “awake” on your phone, even when not being actively used. Recent Android updates have introduced default battery-saving rules, which basically puts all apps to sleep after a while. For any app that relies on it being on-demand and live, this isn’t a good thing as it effectively stops syncing. Luckily there is a solution.
