Some information on your new plan price

Every year, it costs us more to provide New Zealanders with great connectivity. This means we sometimes have to make changes to our plans and prices, and we’ve tried hard to keep any increase to a minimum.

From your next bill after 24 September 2024, the price of the mobile plans listed below will each go up by $5 and you’ll see this new price on the first bill you receive after 24 September.

Here’s how Group plans with Companions work:

Add up to three people to your $65 Medium Plan or $85 One Plan™ Pay Monthly mobile plan. Each Companion will get the same plan for $35 each per month with a Medium Primary plan or $40 each per month with a One Plan™ Primary plan.

Benefits:

  • No more sharing. Everyone gets their own endless data plus endless calls and TXTs to standard NZ and AUS numbers.
  • Hotspot included at no extra cost.
  • Managing costs is easy with one bill.

Plan price change: Your monthly plan price change will happen in your next bill starting from 24 September 2024. The increase to your plan price does not impact the price of any Share plans you may have on your account, unless listed on the table above. If you stay on your current plan, any discounts you receive will remain.

Companion Plans: Buy one $65 Medium plan and add up to 3 Companion plans for $35 each per month or buy one $85 One Plan™ Pay Monthly mobile plan and add up to 3 Companion plans for $40 each per month. Companions must be on the same billing account and plan type must be the same as the Primary Plan (e.g. all One Plan™ plans). The Primary Plan account holder is liable for all charges including the cost of each plan. Companion plans are not available through the Online store. International Add-On on Medium+: Available for use in New Zealand only when you join a $65 or above Pay Monthly Mobile Plan. Customers currently on these plans are unable to re-sign onto the same plan to receive the free Add-On. Any existing discounts you may have on your mobile account will drop off once you sign up to your new plan. If you switch or re-sign your plan to an ineligible plan, the add-on will drop off. Offer may be amended or withdrawn at One NZ’s discretion. See International Add-On for more information.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stay on my current plan?

Yes, if you’re happy to stay on your current plan, there’s nothing you need to do. Your plan price will automatically go up by $5 per month from your next bill after 24 September 2024.

Will the Sharers on my account increase in price too?

Only the listed Sharer plans will receive a price increase. If your Sharer plan is not listed, it will remain the same price. See above table for more information.

If I change to an Endless Data plan, what happens to Sharer plans on my account?

If you change plans, any Sharers you have will also need to move if they want to stay connected.

If you re-sign to our $65 Medium plan or $85 One Plan™ Pay Monthly mobile plan you can add up to three people as Companions.

Companions are like Sharers except each Companion will get the same plan as you for $35 a month with a $65 Medium Primary plan, or $40 a month with a $85 One Plan™ Primary plan – no more sharing!

If you have four or more people currently sharing your plan, then please call us on 0800 394 449 or visit your nearest One NZ retail store to talk to us about your options.

If I change to an Endless Data plan and have multiple plans on my account, will they have to change too?

No, if the other plans on your account aren’t currently sharing your plan, then you can change to an Endless Data plan without impacting them.

If I move to an Endless Data plan, can I keep my existing discount?

No, if you change mobile plans, you will lose any existing discounts.

What will my new bill look like?

Your new monthly plan price will start from your next bill after 24 September 2024 – you won’t see this change until the first invoice you receive after this date. For example, if you receive your invoices on the 18th of every month then you will see your new monthly plan price from this date.

How do I cancel my plan?

We’ll be sad to see you go, but we understand if you now want to cancel your plan. If you have an interest free payment, you’ll need to pay the balance off when you go.

What other Pay Monthly plan options do I have?

Depending on how much data you use, you may like to take a look at our other Pay Monthly Mobile plans or Business Mobile plans which include a set amount of max speed data, with endless data at reduced speeds.
