Software updates.
We recommend that you stay up to date with the latest version of iOS for your model of iPhone, with security in mind.
The latest version of iOS is iOS 26.5
iOS 26 is supported on iPhone 11 models and newer models and is now available for you to download.

iPhone and 5G.
The latest iPhone 17 models, all iPhone 16 models, all iPhone 15 models, all iPhone 14 models, all iPhone 13 models, all iPhone 12 models and the latest iPhone 16e are all 5G capable.
WiFi 7 capable.
iPhone 16 model phones all support WiFi 7 (802.11be) with 2x2 MIMO (Multiple In, Multiple Out) antennas. iPhone 17 models also support WiFi 7 with the new N1 chip supporting 160 MHz bandwidth from the standard's 320 MHz maximum.
Enabling VoLTE
VoLTE is available on the One NZ network, right across New Zealand, including the RBI2 cell towers. VoLTE works on iPhone 6 and all newer models of iPhone.
You can switch on VoLTE in your Settings. Look under Settings > Mobile > Mobile Data Options > Enable 4G Voice and Data.
Apple Watch
The current version of WatchOS is 26.5 and this requires iOS 26 to be installed on on the paired iPhone.
AirPods.
The most current AirPods Pro firmware is 8B40, made available in May 2026. For AirPods 4 models the latest firmware is 8B21.
AirPods firmware will update automatically when connected to your iPhone.
