Get ready for a new plan

Many of our older mobile and broadband plans are due to close as we simplify and improve our systems. This means you’ll be moving to one of our new plans from our latest line-up.

What does it mean for you?

Since you’re moving to a new plan, your plan price may also change and any discounts on your old plan will end. But all of our new plans are Open Term, so you can make changes at any time.

What else do you need to know?

There are also some changes to BestMates, International 45 and 90, Asia TALK&TXT, International Favourites TALKnTXT, International TXT, Data Notify Add-ons, Hotspot, Starship donations and older Add-ons like BlackBerry, faxMail, Basic Share Access, Red Share Access, GPRS Casual and 4G upgrade.

These changes are happening between early November 2024 and throughout 2025. But we’ll let you know in advance when your plan/s are due to change.

What are your options?

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose a different mobile plan?

Yes you can. You can move to any of our latest Endless Plans at any time. Just choose the plan/s that works best for you.

Can I keep my current mobile plan?

Sorry, no. Your current mobile plan/s are being retired, so to keep you connected we need to move you to one of our latest mobile plans. Or call us on 0800 533 013 to choose a different plan that works for you.

What does this mean for Red Share?

If you have any Red Share plans on your account, these are being retired. So to keep everyone connected, your sharers will each be moved to one of our new plans.

Can I change my plan now?

Yes. Simply call 0800 533 013 and we can move you to the new mobile plan/s we’ve suggested or find another one that works for you.

Do I need to do anything right now?

No, there’s nothing you need to do. We’ll let you know when your plan/s are due to change and move you automatically from your first bill after that.

Can I cancel my plan/s?

Yes you can. We’d be sorry to see you go, but just call us on 0800 533 013 and we’ll chat through what you need to know.

What about calls to Australia?

All our mobile plans include unlimited calls and TXTs to standard New Zealand and Australian numbers. So talk all you like across the ditch.

What about International Add-ons?

Several of our International Add-ons are ending. Our newer International Calling Add-on is included in these plans:
  • One Plan
  • Endless Plus
  • One Team Plan™
  • Endless Team Plan Large

It’s also available for $8.50 (excl. GST) a month on these plans:
  • Endless Team Plan Medium
  • Endless Starter

Which International Add-ons are ending?

The following International Add-ons are all being retired. So if you’re currently paying for them, you won’t need to in the future.
  • International 90
  • International 45
  • Asia Talk & TXT
  • International Favourites Talk
  • International TXT

This means calls on your new plan/s will be at standard rates and TXT will be 0.17c per 160 characters. Standard rates are 0.59c per min to call the UK, Ireland, USA and Canada and 1.18c per minute to mobiles and landlines for any other country. Satellite calls/min: $13.29 Inmarsat A, $9.80 Inmarsat B, $3.43 Global Star. All prices are excl. GST.

What International Calling Add-ons are available?

Our latest International Add-on includes 250 minutes and 50 TXTs to over 20 International destinations and is included in these plans:
  • One Plan
  • Endless Plus
  • One Team Plan™
  • Endless Team Plan Large

It’s also available for $8.50 (excl. GST) a month on these plans:
  • Endless Team Plan Medium
  • Endless Starter

What’s happening with BestMates®?

All of our new Endless Plans include unlimited calls and TXTs to any standard New Zealand or Australian numbers. So BestMates® is no longer needed and will be retired. If you’re currently paying for this, you won’t need to.

What’s happening with FaxMail?

FaxMail is an older service that’s no longer relevant to most people. So this is being retired too.

What’s happening with BlackBerry?

BlackBerry is an older add-on that’s no longer relevant for most people. So this is being retired too.

What’s happening with Hotspot?

Your new plan includes Hotspot, on us. So your current Hotspot Add-on will be removed from your account.

What’s happening with Extra minutes Add-ons?

Your new plan includes Endless calls to any NZ or Australian number, so you won’t need your additional minutes Add-on anymore.

What’s happening with Data Passes?

Our extra data passes like ‘Chat Pass’ and ‘Music Pass’ are also retiring, but don’t worry since you’ve got more data included in your plan you won’t need these anymore.

What’s happening with Data bonus Add-ons?

Endless gives you all the data you need, so we’re removing any older Data bonuses from your plan.

What’s happening with Starship donations?

You’ll no longer donate to Starship through your bill each month.

Will the price of my mobile plan/s change?

Most likely, yes. We’re closing the mobile plan/s you’re currently on and moving you to a new mobile plan/s at a new price. We’re also removing any discounts that you may have been receiving so this could have an impact on your monthly payments. You’re welcome to choose a different plan.

Will my bill be different?

Your first bill after the change will be a little different. It will include a part-charge for your new plan/s, plus your usual month in advance. You may also see a credit for part of your old plan/s to line things up with your normal billing date. Read more here.

Will I still get my regular discounts?

Sorry, no. Any current discounts will end when you move to your new mobile plan/s.

Do I need to change my automatic payment or direct debit?

If you have an automatic payment set up for a fixed amount each month, you’ll need to update this to the new mobile and/or broadband plan price before for your next bill date after your plan changes. You don’t need to make any changes to your direct debit payment – this will continue as normal.

Will my Interest Free Payments change?

No. Any interest free payments you have will continue as normal. If you choose to cancel your plan/s, you’ll need to pay these off first.
