How it works
1. Connect your Microsoft 365 application
We connect your Microsoft 365 application directly to the public phone network. (Or we can connect your existing on-site infrastructure to the cloud as a hybrid option if you like.) It doesn't take a complex infrastructure rollout - all you need is good internet access.
2. Connect to Microsoft Teams
Each of your staff gets a phone number they can use on any of their devices connected to Microsoft Teams. This can be their existing landline number, or a new number.

Does Calling for Microsoft Teams include Microsoft licensing?
No, licensing is currently separate. You need the right Microsoft 365 license. Typically, this is an A3/E3 license plus the Phone System, or an A5/E5 license. We are working to make licensing available directly on our portal and will let you know when this happens.
Microsoft 365 Business plans (Less than 300 users), now have the capability to add Phone System Licensing and therefore can use Calling for Microsoft Teams.
Is calling bundled with the per user price?
Some of our licenses included calling, please contact us for more information.
What happens if there is an internet outage or Microsoft 365 isn’t available?
We recommend that you set up an emergency plan for calls to be diverted as close to the originating call as possible. This would mitigate most potential outage scenarios.
Can a user have a physical phone?
Yes, so long as it is Microsoft Teams Certified.
What happens if I add users and move into a different price bracket?
If you add or remove users in a month, your monthly price will automatically adjust to the relevant price point. To get a lower price point, you may find it useful to add some dummy users.
Where are calls routed to?
Calls to or from Landlines and Mobiles will flow between Microsoft and One NZ's telephony network.
Do conference calls remain in New Zealand?
No, conference calls will be hosted along with your Microsoft 365. For most New Zealand customers, this will be in Australia. As calls route across Microsoft networks, there is no noticeable delay. Even calls hosted in Europe work well.
