This article explains how to set up the Deco Device X80 - 5G.

Before you begin

• These steps are also compatible with both Wireless Broadband and Rural Broadband
• Deco X80 - 5G modems will be plug and play compatible.
• You should install the Deco App and link your Deco Device to unlock more features.

Steps

1. Insert the Nano SIM card into the slot on the base of the modem
   
   • Ensure you are inserting the correct SIM Card
   • Place the modem on its back
   • The SIM card slot is just above the light

   Note: If there is already a SIM in the modem, press it in to release it then remove it.

2. Plug the provided power adaptor into your Deco Device.
   

   

3. Wait for the LED on your modem to turn solid green. You are now connected to the internet.
   
   • This will take approximately 3 minutes
   • Led light guide below
     

     

     

     Note: If the LED light is purple, this means the Deco unit is connecting to 5G.
4. Your Wifi username and password are located at the bottom of your modem. Or, on a Wifi sticker in the modem box. Use these details to connect your devices to your Wifi.
