Deco App | Change Wi-Fi Band

This page explains how to change the Wi-Fi band a Deco unit broadcasts (2.4GHz, 5GHz or both) using the Deco app.

Before you begin

By default our Deco X20/X50 devices:

  • Operate both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi radios
  • Dynamically select which frequency attached devices connect to

Steps

  1. Open the Deco app

  2. At the bottom of the screen, tap More

  3. Tap Wi-Fi Settings

  4. Tap Advanced

  5. Tap Band

  6. Select one of the following
    • 2.4GHz and 5GHz
    • 2.4GHz only

    • 5GHz only

  7. Tap the back arrow

  8. Tap the back arrow again

  9. Tap Save
