If you’re using your VodafoneTV to watch live TV and use recording then a Hard Drive Recorder with Freeview could be a good solution for you.

Panasonic have a range of Smart Network HDD recorders with Freeview that enable you to record and play TV at the same time as well as pausing live. Series linking and recording all episodes of a particular series is also possible. You can also Record multiple channels simultaneously and depending on which hard drive recorder you buy you could store hundreds of hours of programmes.

If you’re using your VodafoneTV to mainly watch live broadcast free to air TV (e.g. TV1, TV2, Three etc.) with some streaming upgrading to a Smart TV with built in Freeview could be the solution for you. Most TVs on the NZ market now have Freeview built-in.

You’ll need to have a UHF aerial on your roof so you can plug your TV directly into your aerial to enjoy live TV with no set top box. You’ll also need to check that you live in a Freeview coverage area by visiting Coverage Maps - Freeview.

Most Smart TVs should also have built in Wifi making it easy for you to access online content such as streaming video from YouTube, Netflix and more right from your TV. Smart TVs also come with preloaded apps so make sure when choosing which TV to buy it has your favourite apps included.
