Mobile | Delayed TXTs or missed calls

This article explains what happens if you've been waiting for a call or some TXTs and nothing seems to have come for a while or if you send a TXT to someone and you suddenly get a load of waiting TXTs maybe even including a voicemail notification. What could cause missed calls or delayed TXTs? Your phone keeps itself logged onto the network by sending updates (known as polling) approx every 30-40 seconds. If, for any reason, your phone stops doing this correctly you will still see a signal, but the network will not see you, and will treat you as being unavailable or turned off.
