This article explains why we use security PINs on your Mobile account.
Why do we use Account Security PINs?
We want to help you do your thing better and so to help us to identify you quickly, easily, and securely, we ask you to setup a security PIN (personal identification number) - a 4-digit number.
You would have set this up as part of the process of buying your mobile services.
What is the format of the Account Security PIN?
The security PIN has to be 4 digits long
Security PINs in the form of words or simple easy-to-guess combinations such as 1234 or 0000 cannot be used.
What are the different access levels we provide for our Pay Monthly accounts?
To give On Account customers the freedom of allowing others to access information, whilst the person legally responsible for the contract retains control, security PINs can be set at 3 levels.
- Customer Level - Records relating to the party responsible for the overall contract with us
- Account Level - Your billing and account information
- Mobile Connection Level - Information specific to the mobile user and call features.
This is a valuable service where the party who signed the contract is not the same person who either uses the mobile or pays the account (such as in a corporation or other organisation).
Prepay customers have access to information relating to the mobile number specified during the registration process for My One NZ.
