Our focus areas
Invercargill initiative
Invercargill's young people face higher rates of disadvantage compared to the national average and we are committed to help the community to create a bright future for their young people. Our work in Invercargill builds upon One NZ’s strategic partnership with Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu as we focus on providing opportunities and support for rangatahi in Waihōpai Invercargill and Motupōhue Bluff. Our role in the community has been to deepen the impact of existing mahi, creating connections and offering long-term, multi-faceted support.
Our goal is to prevent the widening of existing inequities and to ensure that all young people in Invercargill have access to digital connectivity, resources, and skills for a brighter future. Our initiative will help to build a case study for creating long-term impact at a community level.

System change partners
Through our national systems change partnerships, we aim to see fundamental shifts in the lives of rangatahi.
We are looking to influence systems and advocate for those who need it most. Our current partners include VOYCE Whakarongo Mai, Tuia, and the Child Poverty Action Group.

Digital equity
Digital inclusion goes beyond just an internet connection – it’s the opportunity to access the tools, knowledge and digital understanding that enable young people to participate fully in the world.
That’s why we launched Toitū te Toki in 2022: a device equity programme getting devices into schools where it’s needed most.
