Inmarsat is a satellite system (International Marine Satellite) that allows you to place telephone calls to ships.
Because of this, calls to Inmarsat mobiles are quite expensive. The rate for calls to Inmarsat mobiles is $12.00/minute (incl. GST) from a residential phone line. The rate for calling from a Business line varies - please Contact Us by phone or email for pricing.

To make an Inmarsat call:

• The access code depends on the Inmarsat mobile number. For most numbers, dial 00 870 followed by the Inmarsat mobile number.
• If the Inmarsat mobile number starts with 1 or 8 you need to know which ocean region the phone is in.

The access codes for the ocean regions are:

• 00 871 - Atlantic Ocean Region East (AOR-E)
• 00 872 - Pacific Ocean Region (POR)
• 00 873 - Indian Ocean Region (IOR)
• 00 874 - Atlantic Ocean Region West (AOR-W)

For example, to make a call to Inmarsat mobile number 1234567, which is on a ship in the Indian Ocean, dial 00 873 1234567.
