This article provides details on how different kinds of roaming appear on your bill if you have a One NZ A account.
Daily Roaming on your bill.
When you use Daily Roaming
overseas your roaming charges will be shown on your next bill.
- The Roaming section on your bill shows the number of days you have been charged for and the total charge.
- The Extras section of your bill shows if a Roaming Add-On has been purchased or if you've used data on the casual rate.
- If you don't buy a Roaming Add-On, or are not on an Eligible Plan and/or in a Daily roaming destination, any calls you make while roaming will be charged per minute and any TXTs.
As roaming follows NZ time, no matter the time in the country you are roaming in, if any usage goes past midnight (NZ time), you will get charged for that day. Ensure you consider this while checking your roaming charges.
Note:
- Roaming charges were not subject to GST until 31st March 2022.
- From 1st April 2022 the New Zealand government introduced GST on roaming charges. We have consequently applied a 15% standard GST on all the outbound roaming products and services (Pay Monthly and Prepay). For Daily Roaming, this meant that the price changed from $7 to $8 a day, effective 1st April 2022 NZDT.
