One Business with Webex | Call Forwarding

This articles contains information on the different types of Call Forwarding available with One Business with Webex and instructions on how to both activate and deactivate the features.

You should Know

  • Call Forwarding cannot be set up for numbers such as emergency, international or chargeable directory assistance.
  • There are no restrictions on the number of simultaneous forwarded calls.
  • Please first ensure that you have downloaded the Webex App, which can be done here: https://www.webex.com/downloads.html

Call Forwarding types

The table describes the Call Forwarding types available on One Business.

Type Description
AlwaysDirect all incoming calls to another destination automatically, regardless of whether the line is busy or available.
When No Answer
  • Enabled - Calls will be forwarded to a specified number.
  • Disabled - Calls will be forwarded to voicemail.

Please note: Regardless if the feature is enabled or disabled, the number of rings before forwarding field will control how many times your phone rings before the call is forwarded.

When BusyOnly redirect incoming calls when the user is busy.
When Not ReachableIf a user's device is unreachable or unregistered, redirect incoming calls to another destination.
Voicemail Divert all incoming calls to the users voicemail.


Setup - App

Call Forward Always

  1. Open the Webex Application
  2. Ensure you are logged in
  3. Navigate to Call Settings.
    For instructions on how to access the call settings for desktop and mobile, click here .
  4. From the drop-down menu select Incoming Calls, then Call Forwarding
  5. If you want to:
    • Activate it :
      • Toggle on Always
      • Set the phone number you would like to divert your calls to.

        Call Forwarding Always is now on

    • Deactivate it: Toggle off Always

      Call Forwarding Always is now off

Call Forward When No Answer

  1. Open the Webex Application
  2. Ensure you are logged in
  3. Navigate to Call Settings
    For instructions on how to access the call settings for desktop and mobile, click here .
  4. From the drop-down menu select Incoming Calls, then Call Forwarding
  5. If you want to:
    • Activate It:
      • Toggle on When No Answer
      • Set the phone number you would like to divert your calls to
      • Set the number of rings before the direct activates

        Call Forwarding When No Answer is now on

    • Deactivate it: Toggle off When No Answer

      Call Forwarding When No Answer is now off

Call Forward When Busy

  1. Open the Webex Application
  2. Ensure you are logged in
  3. Navigate to Call Settings

  4. From the drop-down menu select Incoming Calls, then Call Forwarding
  5. If you want to:
    • Activate it:
      • Toggle on When Busy.
      • Set the phone number you would like to divert your calls to

        Call Forwarding When Busy is now on

    • Deactivate it: Toggle off When Busy

      Call Forwarding When Busy is now off

Call Forward When Not Reachable

  1. Open the Webex Application
  2. Ensure you are logged in
  3. Navigate to Call Settings

  4. From the drop-down menu select Incoming Calls, then Call Forwarding
  5. If you want to:
    • Activate it:
      • Toggle on When Not Reachable
      • Set the phone number you would like to divert your calls to

        Call Forwarding When Not Reachable is now on

    • Deactivate it: Toggle off When Not Reachable

      Call Forwarding When Not Reachable is now off

Call Forward Voicemail

  1. Open the Webex Application.
  2. Ensure you are logged in.
  3. Navigate to Call Settings.
    For instructions on how to access the call settings for desktop and mobile, click here .
  4. If you want to:
    • Activate it: From the drop-down menu select Voicemail

      Call Forwarding Voicemail is now on

    • Deactivate it: From the drop-down select Do Not Forward Calls

      Call Forwarding Voicemail is now off


    Setup - IP Deskphone

    Call Forwarding Always

    1. Lift telephone handset
    2. If you want to:
      • Activate it:
        • Dial *72
        • Enter phone number you want to forward calls to
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is on

      • Deactivate it:
        • Lift telephone handset and dial *73
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is off

    Call Forwarding Busy

    1. Lift telephone handset
    2. If you want to:
      • Activate it:
        • Dial *90
        • Enter phone number you want to forward calls to
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is on

      • Deactivate it:
        • Dial *73
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is off

    Call Forwarding No Answer

    1. Lift telephone handset
    2. If you want to:

      • Activate it:

        • Dial *92
        • Enter phone number you want to forward calls to
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is on

      • Deactivate it:
        • Dial *93
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is off

    Call Forwarding Not Reachable

    1. Lift telephone handset
    2. If you want to:
      • Activate it:
        • Dial *94
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is on

      • Deactivate it:
        • Dial *95
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is off

    Call Forwarding Selective

    1. Lift telephone handset
    2. If you want to:
      • Activate it:
        • Dial *76
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is off

      • Deactivate it:
        • Dial *77
        • Replace telephone handset

          The service is off
