After you have been assigned a Static IP, make a note of it and restart your router. The modem will automatically be assigned the Static IP address you have been provided.

Steps

Port Forwarding can be set up through your modem's web management page at 192.168.0.

  • After a port forward is added, you may need to also allow the connection in your firewall if the application using the port forward is running on your computer.
  • In some instances your computer may prompt to allow the port forward, otherwise go into the firewall settings to allow the application.
  • Other devices such as IP Cameras, Game Consoles and NAS machines often accept these automatically and the modem change is sufficient.
