Set up

Log into the web management portal

Before you start

What you'll need:

  • A computer that is connected to the modem either through Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable
  • The username and password for your modem (found on the bottom of most our modems)
  • To ensure your modem is plugged in and powered on

If you're using a modem we did not supply, or your modem isn't listed above, you'll need to refer to your modem's user guide for assistance in accessing the web management page.

  1. Open a web browser and go to 192.168.0.1
  2. If you are trying to log in as an Administrator User, enter:
    • Username - Leave this field blank
    • Password - password
  3. On your keyboard, press Enter

The web management page appears.

Support

If you cannot open the web management page, please check the following:

  1. The power is on
  2. Either your computer's Wi-Fi is on or it is directly connected to the modem with an Ethernet cable
  3. Your browser is set to automatically get an IP address and DNS server address.

If you still can't open the page, please give us a call - we'll run through some other checks on our side.

Using the Technicolor 7210D

Change your Wi-Fi name or password

Please note: Wi-Fi is referred to as WAN in your modem's settings.

  1. Log in to the web management page enter 192.168.0.1 in your browser and press Enter.
  2. Username can be left blank and password (admin by default).
  3. Click Login
  4. In the navigation, choose Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) or Automatic Security Configuration
  5. Enter your desired Device Name (Wi-Fi name) and Key (password), and click Save
  6. Make sure you update all your Wi-Fi connected devices with the new name and/or password for your Wi-Fi.

Troubleshooting

Factory Reset

  1. Log into the web management page, using your web browser, go to http://192.168.0.1
  2. On the web management page, select Status from the top horizontal navigation
  3. Then select Password, from the left-hand navigation
  4. On that page, change Restore Factory Defaults to yes
  5. Press the Apply button
