About mobile data charges

Mobile data is central to how most people use their smartphone, powering apps like maps, social media, video and picture messaging and so much more. However, we want to make sure that you're always in control of your data spend.

If your data charges are a little higher than expected, it's most likely to be that you have used all your plan's data allowance and not bought any extra. So, you've been using Casual Data at rates outside of your normal plan.

To help you stay in control, as an On Account mobile customer you'll get TXTs from us when you are running low on data i.e. you used 80% of your plan's allowance, and then at 100% used, we send your a TXT to let you know and will also give you options to buy more data. This also works when you're travelling overseas.

If you are on a Red Share plan, extra data charges can come from any of the numbers that are linked to the main billing account doing the same thing. Please check with your sharers if you notice any extra charges.
