This page explains how to set up a SmartWifi X53 for Business Fibre. These instructions can also be used for Consumer customers with the Deco X53-DSL modem.

You should know

• SmartWifi modems are plug and play - you do not need to manually set up the modem in the Deco app
• The Wi-Fi network name and password are displayed on the bottom of the modem

Steps

1. Plug the power adaptor into the back of your X53 to begin setup.
2. Plug the Ethernet cable into one of the modem's yellow Ethernet ports, and the other side into the provisioned LAN port on the ONT.
3. If required, plug the phone cable into the green Phone port of the modem

4. Wait for the LED to turn solid green

   • Note: This can take up to 3 minutes
