This article contains steps to upgrade a free Webex account to One Business with Webex

You should Know

If you have ever previously used your email address to sign up for the free Webex app to enable video calling, you can now upgrade it to One Business with Webex to enable smart calling and meetings.

During your One Business with Webex installation process, your free Webex account will effectively go through an upgrade. The following instructions detail this process, outlining what is involved and the outcome.

Please note, this only applies when you have an existing Free Webex licence.

Steps

Stage 1 - Upgrading your Free Webex license

When we set up your new One Business with Webex subscription, you will receive two emails:
  • The first from One NZ (via noreply@vngs.co.nz) containing your user details, and
  • The second from no_reply@webex.com with an offer from One.NZ to transition your existing free Webex account.

  1. Open the offer email and click on delete your existing free Webex account. (Don't worry, this just deletes the free Webex registration)
  2. The Welcome to Webex page will load in your browser. Enter your email address and press Sign In

  3. Now enter your password and press Sign In. - (This is your free Webex password, not your One Business with Webex password. If you cannot remember your password, click Forgot Password)

  4. Press Delete account to commence the deletion of your free Webex registration and its conversion to an enterprise licence.

  5. The progress screen will now display as your account goes through its 3 stages of change. Once complete, a message will briefly display success and then the Download Webex screen will load.

Stage 2 - Downloading and installing Webex

If not downloaded already, you can now download Webex for your devices. Please refer to your One Business with Webex user email for the links.

Stage 3 - Logging into One Business with Webex

  1. Open your installed Webex app and click on Sign In.

  2. Enter your email address and press Next


    The password screen will load and will display the One.NZ logo. Enter the password included in your welcome email and click Submit. ( If your password fails, click on reset your password and follow the prompts to reset your password)

Support

If you attempt to log into Webex and do not see the One.NZ logo on the password screen, and you have either gone through the invitation process or have not received the invitation email, please stop and reach out to your account administrator who will need to contact us for technical support.
