The One Business app can be uninstalled from your device, once you are up and running on Webex. The only time you may wish to hold onto it a little longer is if you have local contacts that need copying over.
Do I have to install Webex? What happens if I don't?
It is highly recommended that you do install webex. The service your business uses is moving to it and it is important that you install it too. No doing so has an operational and functional impact to features that your business uses.
I have created contacts within my One Business app. What will happen to them?
Any contacts created directly into the One Business application are unable to be migrated to One Business with Webex directly. Any contacts you need to keep can be easily copied to either:
- Your email client (Outlook or Google) – This is the best method as it ensures contacts are always avaialable. Webex will automatically search for your contact, right through the in app search function.
- Contacts can be created directly into Webex.
I have chats in my One Business app. What will happen to those?
Unfortunately any chats you have in One Business cannot move over to Webex and will be lost once you uninstall the One Business app.
On a positive, the messaging and chat environment in Webex is significantly better, with greater functionality.
