When you experience issues with your traditional home phone (copper / analogue), there are 3 things you can check.
1. Check that you've paid your bill
For your services to keep running smoothly, ensure your account payments are up to date .
2. Unplug everything, except for your home phone, from the jackpoints around your home
By unplugging everything except your phone from the jackpoints around your home, it can help you see if there is another device that is stopping your phone from working.
3. Plug your phone into other jackpoints
Sometimes your home phone will stop working if your jackpoint in the wall is faulty. Plugging your phone in different jackpoints will help you find out if some of them are faulty.
- Works in other jackpoints
Your home phone is working, but there is a problem with the jackpoint.
- Doesn't work in any jackpoints
Try using a different home phone (use different cables as well).
