This page explains how to factory reset the DN8245 modem.
Before you begin
For a quick way to Factory Reset this modem, use the Reset PINhole on the back of the modem.
Alternatively, you can follow the steps below, If the modem settings do not reflect this guide it’s likely the modem is on outdated firmware and requires an update.
Steps
Open a web browser and go to 192.168.1.1
The Welcome screen appears
Complete the following fields:
- Username - admin (note this is different to what is stated on the underside sticker)
- Password - You can find this on the bottom of your modem. The same password is used for the admin level access.
- Click Log In
- The Overview screen appears
Click on the red Reset Icon in the image
Click Restore Defaults to factory reset the modem
- The modem will restart once pressed, so do not unplug or turn off the modem until the restart is complete and all the normal operating lights are on again
