Here you can follow the steps to change the WiFi band a Deco unit broadcasts (2.4GHz, 5GHz or both), by using the Deco app.

Before you begin

By default our Deco X20 and X50 WiFi devices operate both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi radios - and they dynamically select which frequency attached devices connect to.
Changing these settings can help you to optimise WiFi performance for your devices.
Understanding what band frequencies your devices support will help you with this.

Steps

1. Open the Deco app.

2. At the bottom of the screen, tap More.

   

3. Tap on Wi-Fi Settings.

   

4. Tap on Advanced.
   

   

5. Tap on Band.
   

   

6. Select one of the following:
   
   • 2.4GHz and 5GHz
   • 2.4GHz only

   • 5GHz only

     

7. Tap the back arrow
   

   

   The Advanced screen appears
8. Tap the back arrow again
   

   

   The WiFi Settings screen appears.
9. Tap Save.
