This page explains how to change the WiFi name and password on an Ultra Hub modem.

What the modem looks like

Choosing your WiFi password
We recommend you use a password that is a combination of:

• Minimum 8 characters
• Minimum 1 lower and 1 uppercase letter
• Numbers
• Symbols

Steps

1. Open a web browser and go to 192.168.1.1  
   The Welcome screen appears  
2. Complete the following fields:
   
   • Username: vodafone
   • Password: You can find this on the bottom of your modem
3. Click Log In
   

   

   The Overview screen appears
4. Click the Wi-Fi tab
   

   

   The Setup screen appears.
   To change your WiFi name, continue to the next step.
   To change your WiFi password, go to step 6
5. In the WiFi Name (SSID) section, enter a name for your WiFi.
   This is the name devices trying to connect to your WiFi will see.
   Please note: WiFi names for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz are set up separately.
   

   

   To change your WiFi password as well, continue to the next step.
   Otherwise, go to step 9 .
6. In the Wi-Fi Password section, click Change Password.
   Please note: Passwords for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz are set up separately.
   

   

   The Password pop up appears.
7. Complete the New Password and Re-enter Password fields.
   This will be your new WiFi password.
   

   

   As you enter your new password, we will indicate its strength (how easy it is to guess). 
8. Click Save.
   

   

   The pop up will disappear and you will see the Setup screen again.
9. Click Apply.
